Founder OS helps independent software founders organize opportunity research, structured evaluation and deliberate decisions on the path toward a paying customer.
What it helps you do
Review software Opportunities in one consistent catalog.
Compare Market, competition and existing Opportunity scores.
Evaluate an Opportunity through a structured manual Assessment.
Preserve evidence, reasoning and changes in direction.
What it does not do
It does not guarantee startup, investment or commercial success.
It does not replace founder judgement or customer evidence.
It is not a general-purpose chatbot or automatic code generator.
AI advice is consultative and cannot make decisions for you.
How it works today
Founder OS presents one six-phase map from Opportunity exploration—including optional organization discovery and candidate validation—through Assessment, Product Planning, customer evidence, launch, growth and Operating Review. You can enter at the phase matching your current question; the map explains the outcome and the detailed steps preserve one explicit decision trail. Authenticated work remains scoped to its owning account, while shared catalog information and the fictional canonical example retain their separate boundaries.
The method behind the workspace
Founder OS treats an idea as a set of claims that can be recorded, challenged and tested. The workflow separates observed evidence from interpretation, keeps unavailable information distinct from a zero score and retains earlier decisions instead of rewriting history after the outcome is known.
The framework is a decision aid, not a scientific prediction model. Its usefulness depends on the quality of the evidence entered and on real customer, delivery and commercial tests performed outside the application.
AI has an advisory boundary
AI is invoked only for a bounded supported task. Its output remains advice to review: it cannot change Assessment answers, calculate or alter scores, create a Decision, contact a prospect or mutate a Product Plan. Source review and consequential choices remain human responsibilities.
Service responsibility
Founder OS is the public product name. Formal operator details will be published here before advertising or paid services are activated.
Product claims on this site describe current supported behaviour. Fictional examples are labelled and are never presented as customer results.
Evidence before certainty
Uncertainty is recorded, not hidden. A useful decision can acknowledge what is still unknown.
History before hindsight
Scores, notes and decisions retain the context that existed when the choice was made.
Judgement before automation
Tools organize the evidence; consequential product and business decisions remain yours.
