Product and access

What Founder OS is, who it serves and how to begin.

What is Founder OS?

Founder OS is a structured workspace for researching software opportunities, testing assumptions and retaining the evidence behind product decisions. It connects opportunity assessment, validation, customer learning and operating reviews without making consequential decisions for you.

How Founder OS works
Who is it for?

It is designed for software founders, indie hackers and small product teams that need a repeatable way to compare ideas before committing substantial build time or money.

Is Founder OS free?

Yes. The current workspace is available without a payment card. The service may introduce advertising in the future to support free access, but no advertising network is active unless the Privacy notice says otherwise.

Where should I begin?

Explore the public fictional example first if you want to understand the workflow. Create an account when you are ready to record your own research, evidence and decisions privately.

Method, AI and examples

How the system supports judgement without pretending to remove uncertainty.

Does Founder OS tell me which idea will succeed?

No. Scores and structured records expose assumptions, evidence gaps and execution risks. They cannot prove future demand, profitability or product-market fit, and founder judgement remains essential.

Read the operating principles
Can AI change my scores or decisions?

No. AI features are consultative and run only after an explicit request. They cannot complete an assessment, alter a score, create a decision or silently modify a governed record.

Review the AI boundaries
Is the Accounting Automation example based on real customers?

No. It is deliberately fictional, ownerless and read-only. It demonstrates structure and record relationships; its claims and values must never be reused as customer evidence.

Open the fictional journey
Does using a structured framework replace customer research?

No. The framework helps you state what you believe, attach evidence and decide on the next bounded test. Interviews, observation, delivery and commercial validation still happen in the real world.

Data, privacy and account control

The boundaries around private work and portable records.

Can another account see my operational records?

Supported workspace records are scoped to the authenticated owner. Shared catalog information and the fictional example are kept separate from private account data.

Read the Privacy notice
Can I export or delete my account data?

Authenticated users can export a machine-readable account package and a readable report. Eligible user accounts also have a separately confirmed account-closure flow. Export anything you need before closing the account.

Does the public site currently use advertising cookies?

No advertising network is active by default. If AdSense is introduced later, the site will identify the service in the Privacy notice and request the applicable choice before loading optional advertising technology.
